Sophie Fidler, one of our location designers, shares her notes, thoughts and inspirations behind our brand new workspace in the home of the Blue Jays.
330 Bay Street is located in Toronto’s financial core. The building boasts a unique lobby with wood accents and brass finishes that encompass its history and architecture—it also makes for a great first impression.
The space is conveniently located near PATH (Toronto's underground pedestrian walkway), street cars (yes, they still have those), and the subway. It is also right around the corner from the Eaton Centre, and many restaurants, nice cafes, and hotels.
The colors are carefully balanced throughout the space. A large work area can seat 12 with plenty of room to spread out. White chairs are mixed with a light pine and pop against the dark wooden slats of the table.
Over in the lounge, a rug is placed to provide a light base for the grey couch and side-table. Both areas also feature pieces from Toronto-based artists. On the couch, a pillow by Taisa Silecky; on the wall, macrame pieces by Rowan Studios.
If you need somewhere to re-align with a larger group, 330 Bay has everything you need to do it (even a yoga mat).
We take design seriously—have a look.
