Kyle Goforth, one of our location designers, shares his notes, thoughts, and inspirations behind a brand new retreat workspace in Venice.

Venice, California is perhaps the greatest place on Earth. Famous for its canals, beaches, and two-and-a-half mile pedestrian boardwalk, it's the perfect place to soak up some sun. Oh, and get to work.

555 Rose is a hop, skip, and a jump from the beach. If you're worried about distraction, fear not—Google's right around the corner. And if they can hold off from surfing from 9 to 5, so can you (for a few hours at least). Plus, this dreamy space is surrounded by cool cafes, shops, and restaurants to satisfy your wanderlust when you get a quick break.

The interior is bright, airy and open and includes a mezzanine work area, lofty spiral staircase, and double-height ceilings; where can you find this anywhere else? The suite can be used for almost anything, from a spacious off-site to a bangin' pop-up shop.

The space was designed to channel a cool ocean breeze, with soft, neutral tones mixed with tropical blues (the ombre carpet is the ocean).

555 Rose has the playfulness of the beach without being kitschy. With sliding glass doors that open up to an outdoor lounge and workspace, it's made for the sophisticated beach bum.

Love catching a wave? So do we. 🏄
